1. Overview
This Returns & Faults Policy applies to all hardware and software purchased through the
HioPOS webstore. All products and services are supplied for business use only.
2. No Change-of-Mind Returns
We do not offer change-of-mind returns. Orders cannot be cancelled or returned once
dispatched or activated, except as set out in this policy.
3. Faulty or Damaged Hardware
If hardware arrives damaged or faulty, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We may
request photographs or additional information to assess the issue. Where appropriate, we will
arrange repair or replacement in accordance with manufacturer warranties and the Contract
and Commercial Law Act 2017.
4. Warranty Claims
Hardware may be covered by manufacturer warranties. Warranty claims are subject to the
manufacturer’s terms and conditions. We will provide reasonable assistance with warranty
claims but are not responsible for warranty decisions made by the manufacturer.
5. Exclusions
We may share personal information with trusted third parties such as payment processors,
courier services, cloud hosting providers, software service providers, and professional advisers,
only to the extent necessary to provide our services or comply with the law. We do not sell
personal information.
6. Software Issues
Software is provided on an ‘as available’ basis. Temporary interruptions may occur due to
maintenance, updates, or external factors. We do not provide refunds for software subscriptions
due to downtime, partial use, or change of business circumstances.
7. Return Process
Any approved returns must be authorised by us prior to sending goods back. Returned goods
must be packaged securely. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise
agreed in writing.
8. Inspection & Assessment
All returned hardware will be inspected upon receipt. If no fault is found, testing or handling
fees may apply and the item may be returned to you at your cost.
9. Business Use & Consumer Guarantees Act
All goods and services are supplied for use in trade. To the maximum extent permitted by law,
and pursuant to section 43 of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Consumer Guarantees Act
does not apply where goods or services are acquired for business purposes.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Returns & Faults Policy from time to time. The version in force at the time
of purchase will apply to your order.
